Cammy Dierking was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her father, Connie Dierking, was a basketball star at the University of Cincinnati, and he went on to play professionally for 14 years, most of that time with the Cincinnati Royals and Philadelphia 76ers. When he left the NBA, Connie did television color commentary for U.C. basketball games. That's when Cammy discovered her passion for broadcasting, and she’s been at it for more than 35 years.

After graduating from Miami University, Cammy worked as a TV sports broadcaster in Raleigh, North Carolina and Reno, Nevada. She came back to Cincinnati and WKRC-TV Local 12 in 1988 and became the first female sports anchor in the state of Ohio. Cammy hosted the Local 12 morning show for 13 years. Now, she delivers the Local 12 evening news at 5, 6, and 11.

A former collegiate swimmer, Cammy is still very active. She’s done 20 marathons and 3 Ironman triathlons (2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run).

Married for 30 years, Cammy and her husband have three wonderful daughters she calls ”the air in her lungs”.
